Position Overview:
The Clean Team Member at Bricolage Academy is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role requires a strong commitment to building cleanliness and safety, as well as excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and maintaining restrooms and common areas.
Conduct regular inspections of the school facilities to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs, including furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Assist in maintaining supply inventory and report any shortages to the supervisor.
Respond to requests from staff and faculty in a timely and professional manner to ensure a productive environment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Support special events and activities through setup and cleanup as needed.
Collaborate with other staff to optimize safety and cleanliness across the facility.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors through excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and require personal protective equipment.
The position may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on school events and needs.
